Alpha Box

The first Bago box takes us to two inland regions that produce single-varietal wines with very different characteristics. On one side, Villanueva de Alcardete, a village in Toledo, located in a Manchegan region with low rainfall and arid soils poor in organic matter. At first glance, it seems like a challenging area for winemaking, but native varieties like Verdoncho thrive here, showing their best expression. On the other side, Estremoz, in Alentejo, one of Portugal’s most noble and fruitful wine regions. This village wakes up many days of the year surrounded by a unique fog, giving its wines a special character, adding freshness and elegance that sets them apart from other Alentejo areas.
