In 2021, a nurse and two sommeliers left Barcelona for Villalba dels Arcs, in the south of Catalonia. Marina, Oriol and Borja founded Vins de Quimera to express the essence of the Mediterranean territory: mixed soils of sand, clay and limestone, in a warm climate with little rainfall and sea breeze. The olive trees and fruit trees that share the soil with the vineyards provide organic matter to the soil and ensure the quality of the vines.

Quimera is made from Macabeo and Garnacha Blanca, fermenting spontaneously without chemical additives. Part of the wine is vinified with the skin and stems to provide structure, while the rest is pressed directly for more pronounced freshness and fruit. After resting for six months in steel tanks, the result is a warm and fresh wine, like the Mediterranean.
